Sierra Service Project 2015

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers for our PB UMC Youth Ministries Program. We ended up having a team of 10 head to Stockton, CA for SSP (Sierra Service Project). There were only 7 others there for our work week, which was a different experience than we have had previous years. We liked the smaller group and we all got to know everyone, not just those on our work teams. Our projects included building an awning, painting,…

Prideful Wrap-up

This year is the first year that PB UMC participated at the Pride Festival and hosted a welcoming booth. Despite the downpour of rain, our enthusiastic team of volunteers were a presence of love and hope.

Starfish Stories – Aug. 2015

A young girl was walking along a beach in which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the water. She had been doing this for some time, when a man approached her and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish.
