Who We Are

Who We Are

Two words often used to describe the people of Pacific Beach UMC are: “inviting” and “welcoming.” The community here at PB UMC is as surprising as it is refreshing. A family atmosphere lends to laughter, support, fun, a few tears, and Christ-like love.

The friendliness of Pacific Beach UMC begins with coffee and cookies. As worship ends, we’ll put a hot cup in your hands and begin to get acquainted. Visiting time spills out into our courtyard as people catch up with each other on the events of the week.

All Church Picnic
Every year we choose a summer Sunday for our annual picnic at Mission Bay. Lunch is catered and the church family gathers for fun and relaxation.

All Church Family Camp
All are welcome to join others from the church for a weekend of camping at Camp Cedar Glen in Julian. For those that have not been there, things you should know about Cedar Glen: there is fabulous food, the cabins have bathrooms and showers and there are plenty of amenities including a climbing wall, archery, a recreation room and a play ground. Watch the video below to see more!

Both short and long-term Bible study groups allow people to get to know one another in the course of studying the scripture. Classes for all ages meet on Sunday mornings and at other times during the week.

Trick or Treating 2021.

Families are drawn together by the children’s Christmas play, the nursery & Sunday School program, the Easter egg hunt, the occasional backyard picnic and much loved family camp at Camp Cedar Glen!
