Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Infant and toddler care is available during Sunday service and some special services. All nursery workers are church employees and have completed MinistrySafe background checks and ongoing training.
Children’s Ministry is comprised of elementary children in K – 5th grades for Sunday School every Sunday during service. This ministry also hosts a children’s choir which performs for 5th Sunday Services.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)
UMYF is comprised of middle school and high school youth. This group meets regularly for youth outings and for spiritual and social development. We also participate with other United Methodist youth groups for district-level and conference-level activities including times of worship, service, dance and retreat.
Youth in Mission
Here are some examples of how the youth of PB UMC are encouraged to act on their faith within the local church:
- assisting in worship as acolytes, communion servers, greeters and ushers for 5th Sunday Services.
- helping with a meal during the Interfaith Shelter Network
- serving at our Wednesday Night Ministry
- cooking and providing meals for Storefront teen shelter
…and beyond our local area:
- Various mission opportunities
The Young Adult ministry is for those that are 18 (summer after graduating high school) until 24 years of age. This group also focuses on the above mentioned (Youth Ministry and Youth in Mission) while also finding support in one another.
