This week our scripture passage is the parable of the wheat and the weeds. These words of wisdom from Jesus might stir resistance within us. Who wants a weedy garden? And shouldn’t we pluck out the weeds—catch them early—when we see them? We’ll sit awhile with these words that seek to tell us something about God’s realm and the nature of God who seeks growth and wholeness for us all.
