When and Where is Worship?
We worship in person and online at 10:00am each Sunday. Click here for the livestream.

What Is Worship Like?
We celebrate an uplifting, “blended” style of worship, meaning that the service incorporates traditional and modern music accompanied by organ, piano, drums, and other instruments. All words are on a screen up front so the service is easy to follow. We sing together and we listen to the Voices of Praise choir perform heartfelt anthems. Each week, Pastor Lori brings a sermon that’s rooted in scripture and relevant for today. You can watch past services here.
What about Children?
Children of all ages are welcomed and celebrated at Pacific Beach UMC. Infant and toddler care is available during worship, and for older kids, there is always a meaningful Children’s Time offered as part of worship. After Children’s Time, youth can stay in worship or head off to Sunday School.
What Should I Wear?
Be comfortable! You will find people at PB UMC wearing coats and ties, dresses and jeans, shorts and flip-flops.
Where Should I Park?
The church has a parking lot on the west side of its campus that extends across the alley. Street parking is free but can be limited on weekends. Come a little early to find a place nearby!
What about Accessibility?
PB UMC is grateful to have differently-abled persons as part of the faith community. Parking for those with disabled tags is available in the front part of the main lot. The sanctuary and social hall are at ground level. Accessible bathrooms are available. Children’s Sunday school rooms usually involve stairs but accommodations can be made. Please contact us if you’d like more details.
Do You do Baptisms?
Yes! Baptisms are scheduled in consultation with the pastor and are usually celebrated in community during the worship services. We baptize babies, children, youth, and adults by sprinkling or pouring water on the heads of those being baptized.
Do You Do Weddings?
Christian weddings have their foundation in the steadfast love and faithfulness of God. Pastor Lori is happy to conduct wedding ceremonies for couples who are active in the life of the church. We are also glad to discuss hosting and co-officiating weddings for those not affiliated with the church.
Do You Marry Same-Gender Couples?
Our commitment to inclusivity absolutely extends to weddings. We have long held that marriage is a covenant between two adults regardless of gender identity.
Do You Do Funerals?
In the assurance of resurrection, when someone in our church family passes away, depending on the wishes of loved ones, we often gather to celebrate their life and to support one another in loss. On request, we will also consider hosting a celebration of life for someone who has other connections to our church or region. Please contact the pastor to discuss.
