As state and local restrictions are modified related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are making modifications to maximize our ability to gather together in person in ways that are both safe and meaningful! We are now providing multiple worship opportunities. We continue to offer on-line worship at 9:00 for those who find it most comfortable and convenient to join in worship from home. In addition, we are offering an in-person Worship Watch Party in Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings at 9:00. The Worship Watch Party combines some pre-recorded elements, such as music, with other live elements of worship such as the sermon. We have added an outdoor Courtyard Communion Service on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2:00. No reservations are required for these worship opportunities as “overflow” space will be provided as needed. Safety measures, such as wearing masks and distancing, are being followed.
Some of our small groups are returning to meeting on campus with safety measures in place. Our Project Grace Wednesday night ministry, supporting those who are experiencing homelessness or food scarcity, continues to provide a weekly to-go meal. UCSD Free Clinic is now offering some onsite visits in addition to telehealth visits. We are monitoring changing guidelines and will update our plans as appropriate. We continue to pray for global healing related to this pandemic.
