We continue in Acts this Sunday, entering into the moving account of Dorcas’ death. A widow herself, Dorcas (also known as Tabitha), tended kindly and lovingly to the needs of other widows in her community. Upon her death, Peter was summoned and Dorcas was raised, resuscitated, returned to life. What does this account tell us about kindness? About resurrection? About calling forth life and the power of joining hands to make that happen?
