Christmas is often described as “the silly season,” and this may seem no wonder as we fight crowds and traffic for the right Christmas present or the perfect ingredient for Christmas dinner. And while we like to think the first Christmas followed the famous lyric of a “silent night,” the reality was likely very different. But that first Christmas still shone with beauty under the light of a star, and our own “silly season” can be filled with meaning and joy despite the craziness that surrounds us.
We will present three services on Christmas Eve (December 24th), at 5, 7, and 11 pm. At 5pm, a family-friendly Lessons and Carols service will be presented complete with Christmas carols, the Christmas story, and candles! Our traditional candlelight services at 7pm and 11pm will include singing of Christmas carols, an inspiring message, and lighting candles.
All three of our Christmas Eve services will conclude outdoors in our courtyard singing familiar Christmas carols under the lights and stars!
