We have all been touched by grief in some form or fashion this year. In partnership with La Jolla UMC, we will be offering a Blue Christmas Service on December 21st at 7:00pm. The Blue Christmas Service is designed to support those who struggle with grief, sadness, depression or any form of “the blues,” all of which can be especially acute around the holidays. It is a quiet, reflective service that reminds us that Emmanuel, God with us, is present to love, sustain and guide us through good and difficult times. We will be lighting candles of remembrance and hope in our sanctuaries and we will invite you to light a candle at home as well.
No reservations are required but if you plan to attend, please register by 12/20/20 so we can drop off a candle and a few other materials for you to use during the service. Register up until 12/20/20 at 10:00 at:

A Zoom link will be e-mailed to all who register. If you would like to attend but do not wish to register, please contact the church office for the Zoom link. Pastor Bob, Pastor Lea and I look forward to offering this time of remembrance and reflection. We hope you’ll join us as we hold fast to the heart of the Christmas message…the light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot and will not overcome it.
